The reprints of the owner's manual and homologation papers will please those who are into facts and figures, and we particularly enjoyed the owners experiences. --Classic & Sports Car (UK)
Joe Sackey is an international Ferrari Supercar Specialist, focussing on the 288 GTO, F40, FSO and Enzo. His knowledge of the subject Is almost unparalleled ... This book is a completists paradise. But it's one that is imbued with the enthusiasm and knowledge of the author. It's an Interesting read for someone interested in Ferrari but it's probably compulsory reading tor the hardcore Ferrarista ... there will be plenty of [them] who will beg and borrow for a copy of this book. And they'll love it. It;s sumptuously appointed with photos, anecdotes and plenty of insights into the team that created the car, and the car itself. Recommended reading. --Speedmonkey
[...] fascinating. Sackey not only draws us into the exclusive world of GTO ownership, he also shares the realities of running the cars and the technical wizardy beneath the surface. Technical drawings abound, the entire owners manual is reprinted and period testing photos hint at its untried abilities in tarmac rallying ... overall it's a good read. --Classic Cars
Whether you are fortunate enough to own one, are planning to buy one, or simply dream of hopefully seeing one in person in your lifetime, you owe it to your Petrolista self to pick up a copy of The Book of the 288 GTO by Joe Sackey. Five years in the making, this is without a doubt the most comprehensive, most researched book on this legendary Ferrari ... makes a great addition to any enthusiast's automotive bookshelf. --Petrolicious
Joe has figured out how to create a book with 325 photos of essentially the same car and still make it interesting ... it's difficult to imagine what further information on the car might fill the pages as good a reason as any to pick up Joe s book and fill in that empty slot in your Ferrari bookshelf. --Veloce Today
A tribute to a truly important and delectable automobile. --The Flying Lady

dominantly a visual feast. The text, although minimal, is highly informative, easy to read and downright inspiring ... this book is just about perfect. It made me fall in love with the 288 GTO all over again. --Prancing Horse

Sackey's book is attractively presented and contains many evocative images of the car undergoing testing and in this sense is a worthy volume to add to one s collection --Glen Smale - Freelance
