A propos de cet article
New Brunswick, NJ: E.S.P. Library, 1971. First Edition. Illustrated with photographs, drawings. Quarto, printed wraps, 30 pp. Fine, flawless. An unusually organized and excessively rare publication from prolific UFO researcher, writer, editor and publisherTimothy Green Beckley. Featuring what are essentially three covers as its first three pages, this thirty page compendium is titled both The Mysterious Flying Saucers (sub: The Men in Black; The Contactee Enigma; Flying Saucer Hostility) and MIB Aliens Among Us (Who ARE Those Mysterious Men in Black?). The actual articles - rather startlingly engrossing, and focused on men in black events - are: 1) "Men In Black: Agents of Terror", with some of Howard Menger's UFO photos and a USAF document directing its personnel to report any known impersonations of USAF officers (I.E. men in black) to immediately notify their superiors, and also including sections entitled The Current Era, The Bender Episode, Some Recent Men In Black Cases, Mystery on the Mohawk (River, in upstate NY), Physical Evidence and An Amazing Landing; 2) "The UFOnauts Are Here!", with subsections The Diversions, Hallucinatory Effects, Important Factors in UFO Sightings, and Types of Men In Black; 3) "The Watts Case", with photos and a sketch, regarding Texan Carroll Wayne Watts' sighting experience on 3/31/1967 and the subsequent events involving MIB; 4) a reprint of Saucer News' assistant editor John J. Robinson's "Men In Black, Cadillacs, Doppelgangers, and Laser Beams", with photos, including one of a MIB made by famed UFOlogist James Moseley's; and 5) "The Problem of the Unidentified Flying Objects", with UFO sketch. A healthy dose of reportage on Men in Black, from the annals of the middle age of UFOlogy. Extraordinarily scarce. L103. N° de réf. du vendeur 001150
