A propos de cet article
This is not a book but a very large archive of clippings related to the photographer Bruce Weber consisting of two thick binders and a large packet of loose material. The binders are each full of plastic sleeves. Each sleeve is packed with pages--probably on average 20 pages per sleeve. There are hundreds of pages of material clipped from magazines and newspapers, including articles about Weber, essays on his work, book and exhibition reviews, editorial photo-essays, fashion pictorials, commissioned work for advertising, advertisements for gallery exhibitions, gossip columns with photos of Weber at events, etc., ranging in date from the early 1980s to about 2020 or so. Some of the advertising work represented includes many Calvin Klein pages, lots of Abercrombie & Fitch (including a poster), Helmut Lang, Moncler, Pepe Jeans, Miu Miu, and Versace. Some of the source periodicals include The Face, Jane, Vogue, Vanity Fair, New York, the New Yorker, Italian Vogue, GQ, Mojo, Time Out, W, ArtForum, BusinessWeek, Teen Vogue, Out, Glamour, Ocean Drive, Rolling Stone, Interview, Frieze, and Art in America. There are 5 stand-alone sections from the New York Times commissioned by Barney's and photographed by Weber. The articles/fashion pictorials/ads all appear to be complete. The items have been carefully removed from the source and many of the pages have the publication and date written on them, if it's not part of the pagination. There are some duplicates and also a couple of articles printed off the internet. Everything is in at least Very Good condition. It's a fantastic collection of material: a wealth of information on Bruce Weber and a goldmine of samples of his work. Ships the next business day, wrapped in padding, in a box.
