For the launch of the book in July 2000, J.K. Ajouter au panierHardcover. Etat : Near Fine. Etat de la jaquette : Near Fine. 1st Edition. First edition, first OMNIA printing of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, signed by J.K. Rowling on July 9th, 2000, on the dedication page. The book was signed at the National Railway Museum in York during Rowling's promotional tour for Goblet of Fire. To celebrate the book's release, she traveled across the UK on a specially painted red Hogwarts Express steam locomotive, stopping at key locations to meet fans. According to Errington (J.K. Rowling, A Bibliography, p. 251), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was published on 8 July 2000 in an edition of 750,000 copies. Most were printed by Clays in England, while a smaller portion was produced by Omnia Press in Scotland, primarily for sale in Rowling's home country. Far less Omnia copies than Clays are known to have been signed, making them the most wanted ones. The book has been carefully preserved, unread, for over 24 years. It remains in a near fine condition, with only slight pushing at the spine ends and sharp corner tips. The binding is firm, with no tearing between the board and spine a common issue in Omnia printings. The pages are free from names or inscriptions, with mild browning as usual. The book is housed in a near fine Dust Jacket, showing minimal wear and no fading, and comes in a custom-made half-leather clamshell box. Fully authenticated by J.K. Rowling signature expert Adam Houston (The Harry Potter Specialist), this copy comes with his Letter of Authenticity (LoA) and a collector's card containing additional details. Signed by Author(s).

Joanne (Kathleen) Rowling (2000) 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire', UK first edition, second printing, published by Bloomsbury, printed by Clays. Signed and inscribed by Rowling on the dedication page: "to Ben, with many [twice underscored] thanks JK Rowling". Condition: near fine with usual toning to the paper commensurate with age and light shelf wear including a push to the spine foot. The dust jacket is colour faded. Provenance and pricing: By the year 2000 Harry Potter had become a global phenomenon loved and read by children and adults alike. Rowling embarked on a big promotional tour in the UK signing books in many parts of the country. There was even a 'Hogwarts Express' train which traveled from England north to Scotland stopping in a few locations where Rowling would sign copies of 'Goblet of Fire'. The rule for the lucky holders of a 'Golden Ticket' was that only one book could be signed per ticket holder, and that Rowling would not pen any dedication/ inscription alongside her signature. Therefore, 'flat signed' copies of 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' are the most common of the seven Harry Potter books. This copy has been given by Rowling to one of her security staff and therefore it is beautifully inscribed. Although not a first printing, an inscription like that adds considerable value due to the association and for being unusual. A first printing with such an inscription would fetch several thousand more in today's market. First and Fine. Signed by Author(s).
