Maroquin rouge de l'époque, grande plaque dorée sur les plats de motifs égyptomaniaques formant un encadrement quadrilobé avec un grand motif répété d'ailes et de serpents encadrant 3 étoiles, dos à nerfs orné, roulette intérieure dorée, tranches dorées sur marbrures. Quelques griffures et traces d'usures, quelques rousseurs intérieurs, petite tâche en bas de la tranche du dos du tome1. Réimpression de la seconde édition. Cette seconde édition avait paru la même année que l'édition originale (1866), et présentait d'importantes différences dans l'illustration, dont plusieurs sujets avaient été refaits, voire supprimés, et dont certains avaient été ajoutés. Bon exemplaire dans sa reliure de luxe.
