This copy has a double page blue ink drawing by Peter Beard on the inside front cover and first page of 2 elephants, a figure seen from the backside looking out at a horizon line; dozens of tiny figures along the bottom edge; and the artist s fingerprint (sometimes partially obscured) seems to have been used at least 6 times to make the figure s head; 3 elephant ears; and two other places in the composition; there also seems to be an animal s paw print at the the top left. Around the elephant photograph is the following inscription For Judith Mallin, from Peter Beard, Saturday November 9th 86 @ 983 Park . On the title page, the artist s Montauk Point address is written in the same blue ink next to his printed name at the bottom of the page and in gutter of the book at this page rests an 8-inch long lock of clipped brown hair of unknown origin. Foreign shipping may be extra.
