Il a écrit pour "Le Journal des Voayges". En 1883, il est nomm& secrétaire d'état pour le développement de l'économie en Guyane Française. En 1886, avec deux "pseudo-explorateurs", il devient président de la République de Counani (territoire brésilien en Amazonie). Après avoir compris l'escroquerie et de retour en France, il meurt en 1891. Très intéressant voyage à travers le monde où les nombreuses aventures sont présentes.
