3 matching volumes in their original full bound and ornately gilt embossed dark green calf bindings, all page-block edges gilt. All are the first printing. 256pp, 256pp and 258pp. Vignette title-pages and all engraved plates present as called for. All volumes have the circular armorial bookplate of Basset Down House and the small personal book plate of Robert Napier (1st Baron Napier of Magdala) whose family lived for some time at Basset Down House CONDITION: VERY GOOD a well preserved clean and tight set. leather covers moderately rubbed at outer hinges and cover corner tips, some slight wear to spine ends and cover corner tips.
